Motivation is a tricky thing. We can see something (like an inspiring movie or a great magazine photo) and we can become instantly motivated toward accomplishing something positive in our lives. And the very next day (or hour) we can see something else (like a Wendy’s commercial) and become instantly motivated toward the refrigerator or the pantry. Motivation is a product of a complicated series of chemical reactions in the brain that are largely influenced by what we see, read or hear. In other words, whatever we put into our brains will affect our behavior.
Here’s the thing… the surest way to make sure you remain motivated and challenged is to surround yourself with people who are working toward the same goal you are. Seek them out. Be in the places they are in. Make them your friends. The voices of your friends are a constant in your life. They will out weigh the things you read or see. If you are struggling for motivation, the biggest favor you can do for yourself is put real people around you who live what you want to live.
It’s really that simple. In the battle of influence, quantity (of time spent with other people) wins over intensity (of a motivational moment) every time.
Have a great day,

Excellent post, Rae. JUST what I needed today. 🙂 Thank you!!!
Hello this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I
wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
