Last Night:
7pm Looked out side my window. My 8 year old is racing down the street on his roller blades with a choppy side to side gait. Every few seconds he nearly loses his balance and his arms jerk out to catch his balance. Helmet, wrist pads, elbow pads, knee pads. He is the fastest roller blader on earth. I can tell. I am proud and happy.
8pm I look down the line in front of me at the kickboxing studio where 20 ladies are ready to workout on their punching bags because they have embraced their inner athlete.
9pm My ladies left it all on the bag. I am proud and happy.
10pm (approximately). The Vancouver Canucks win the 7th game of the series in overtime. I am proud and happy.
This Morning:
5am I leave my house to get coffee. The air is warm and the sky is already light. I love spring.
5:20am I open up the kickboxing studio to get ready for the 6am class. I can hear birds singing somewhere nearby. My coffee tastes good.
6am I look down the line at 25 ladies who have embraced their inner athlete. They are energized by the beautiful morning and ready to give it their all. I can tell.
7am My ladies left it all on the bag. They were amazing. I am proud and happy.
Moral of the story: Count your blessings. Don’t be afraid to sweat a little. Get up early. Hear the birds sing. Smile. Celebrate other people’s accomplishments as if they were your own. Be proud. Be happy.
I’m glad you’re in my life and I’m glad you’re working to be the best you that you can be.
Have a great day.
Love Rae
