Canadian summer nights seem to last forever, but summer itself ends far too soon. I look forward to summers as a time to recharge my batteries, set new goals for the coming year and simplify my life as much as possible. I embrace food that makes my body feel good – fruit and nuts for breakfast and huge salads for lunch everyday loaded with extras like roasted sliced almonds, blueberries and lots of fresh cilantro.
Soon the rush of a new year will be upon us. For me it means another year of balancing a busy course load at school with inspiring moments as a fitness and lifestyle coach and all the ups and downs that come with a busy, growing family. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? And until that rush hits I think I’ll take a few more minutes like this one, savoring the quiet moments that bring balance to the heady pace of life.
I hope you have a great last few weeks of summer too.
Love Rae
I love this picture SO much – and the thoughts that go with it. π I feel like my time here in Europe has been one of soul-recovery, body-renewing. The traumas of the last few years took so much out of me, but slowly I’m rebuilding and it feels so good. π
thanks Krista. I’ve been watching your photos go up, but I have held myself from going to your blog until I have a glass of wine in hand and an hour to enjoy every picture. I’m so glad it’s going well!!! I love everything you write… and your trip looks amazing… β€
